Wireframing
Advanced
Wireframing is the process of creating a simple, low-fidelity visual guide that outlines the structure, layout, and key elements of a digital interface, like a website or app.
How I use it
Wireframing is one of the key skills of the UX Designer. It is the process of breathing life into the UX Research, making a reality the solutions that were formed for the problems identified. I perform my wireframing first with pen and paper, I love the freedom it grants me to explore ideas quickly and easily. Design programs come and go, but pen and paper is a tool that has stood the test of time when it comes to expressing ideas so I rely on it heavily.
From there I take these designs digital, currently I prefer Figma, but I have used Adobe XD extensively as well. Digital designs are much more conducive to sharing than the pen and paper designs and Figma makes it very easy to collaborate on these wireframes.
Wireframing is a skill I highly and one I am always working to grow and improve on.
